In the Muva. world, a life is built out of small unexpected objects — and wrapped in an easy, unhurried mood. We set out to make a design brand that folds curiosity and a bit of mischief into ordinary things, so that every hour of an ordinary day carries a little more colour.
Four letters
The name is an acronym, and it is also the brief every product has to pass.
Mischievous, because a bag shaped like a rice ball or a Christmas stocking is allowed to be funny. Unique, because we would rather make one odd shape well than ten safe ones. Vintage, because the colours we reach for — espresso, clay, sea salt, crushed berry — come from things that have already been lived in. Aesthetics, because none of the above works if the object isn't beautiful in the hand.
What we actually make
Right now there are 61 bags and 32 charms in the North American range. The split is deliberate, and roughly even.
Bags
Most of the range is real leather: cow suede and split cow leather account for around three quarters of the styles, with a few in full-grain cowhide. The rest are made in polyester fibre, canvas or denim, where the shape wants a lighter, more casual hand. Linings are polyester or microfiber velvet, with nylon, taslan and cotton on specific styles.
Every bag lists its own material, lining, dimensions and strap drop on its product page — we don't generalise, because the range doesn't.
Charms
Charms are not an afterthought; they're half the catalogue. Mostly microfiber and microfiber synthetic leather, some in plush polyester or artificial wool. Hearts, paint palettes, a cocktail glass, a tiny elephant. They are the fastest way to make a bag yours, and for a lot of people they're the first thing they buy from us.
Designed in-house
Every series is originally designed by Muva. official. Before a style goes on sale it is registered through the Alibaba Original Design Protection platform and filed for a design patent — the shape, the colourway and the photography are ours.
